mmfeat's Issues

Theano/Keras/etc implementations

Hi @douwekiela

Looking through the code base. I think maybe the fastest way to get something up and running is to pick some core function that could be good to have ported over. Once we have a minimum working example, we can look to flesh it out from there. What do you think that would be?

Brian

Flickr API gives duplicates when query returns more than 4,000 results.

According to the documentation the Flickr API will return at most 4,000 results for a given query, with the rest after that being duplicates. That seems to be corroborated by my testing, although occasionally it weirdly works correctly. To download more than 4k pictures the query should be split into date ranges or other smaller queries with less than 4k results.

Problem with OAuth and the FlickrMiner

I created an API key for an application in my Flickr account:
appname

I configured the miner.yaml with the API key and Secret.

I created a directory to save the data output and created a query file with the following contents:

dog
cat
horse

I tried to run the Flickr miner using this command: python miner.py flickr query.txt output. The program asked me to obtain authentication from Flickr:

I authorized this action but I was redirected to the following page:

Nonetheless, I tried copying the URL into the application but it did not succeed:

Do you know what might be going wrong here?

"nan" image dispersion value for the word "kindness"

I experimented with the demo scripts and used a random seed of 200 words for computing their image dispersion values. This was done using GoogleMiner. For some reasons, even though there are images retrieved for the word "kindness", its value returned is nan. I have yet to find out the cause, but would like to report this as a possible issue here.
