how do i wire this from my onkyo 608 to my Pi?

The communication with Denon AVRs using netcat doesn't work. Maybe it's because the connection has to be restarted after each request.

BTW, does hyperion-config-switch.daemon.sh send requests to the AVR? I could not find related commands in the script.

In hyperion-config.switch.daemon.sh, the variables off_duration and on_duration are not defined. In line 124, the if command misses the then keyword.

The suggested installation procedure in README.md creates several symbolic links using ln. In all cases, the arguments are in wrong order. E.g., after moving the configuration file from /etc to the current directory, the symbolic link should be created with
sudo ln -s /home/pi/hyperion-config-switch/hyperion.config.default.json /etc/hyperion.config.json
(note the use of sudo and the absolute path to the default config file).

On Raspbian, instead of initctl restart hyperion I had to use sudo /etc/init.d/hyperion restart.

Finally, hyperion-config-switch.daemon.sh has to be made executable. This should be documented.

Not sure if anybody is watching this, but I will give it a shot.

I have this running on Openelec with hyperion. I am having trouble getting telnet codes to come though.

I can get codes to come in by running "telnet 10.0.1.5" with no port specified on my mac.

I have the config files setup as I am pretty sure it should be.
I have the port as an empty string currently. I have tried 23/80/8080

I don't print any errors while it is running.
