proxy-by-url's Introduction

#proxy by url

this is a simple example of a node-http-middleware that will proxy based on the incoming url. say you want to proxy every request thing under /database to localhost:5984 (couchbd) (and remove the /database prefix)

this is how:

require('http-proxy').createServer(
  require('proxy-by-url')({
    '/database': { port: 5984, host: 'localhost' },
  })
).listen(8000)

proxy-by-url's Issues

License file?

What license is this repo covered by?

I see many of your other repos are MIT licensed, happy to make a pull request for this one if that is helpful.

Thanks!

Doesn't work with http-proxy 1.0

Using the example code, I get the following error:

/Users/globen/nodeSites/kjd-proxy/node_modules/http-proxy/lib/http-proxy/passes/web-incoming.js:108
    var proxyReq = (options.target.protocol === 'https:' ? https : http).reque
                                  ^
TypeError: Cannot read property 'protocol' of undefined

It appears that this module relies on the middlewear API that has been dropped in 1.0
