Issue

The /task_2/java_app/Dockerfile uses maven:slim image for the first stage. That tag points to the latest maven:slim image that is not compatible with pom.xml resources for the java_app. As a result the build stage fails with error.

Solution

Instead use a specific version of maven image that is compatible with the app. The image maven:3.5.2-slim allows the project to build.

Dockerfile for both java_app_v2 and messageservice are set to use maven:slim base image which uses newer Java framework and is not compatible with this repo's code base.
Instead use maven:3.5.2-slim base image to allow the app to compile.

During dockercon eu, we faced a problem in the workshop with elasticsearch consuming all fd.

There is mention of building worker:2 in "Task 4.1" but it's not explicitly called out for the students to actually do that build. We need to add that step since it is referenced in the stack yaml immediately following.
