Is there a fix planned for this? I see an empty area where the icon should be?

When there are lots of files is hard to read the filename since the tabs are really small. I was thinking that at some point the extension could stop showing the close button for all the tabs except the selected one, similar to how Chrome does it. To close them fast you could use the middle click or add a "Close Tab" on the right click context menu.

I was thinking the same about hiding the icon.

Say I have two tabs open, 1.css and 2.html (works the same with any number of tabs open).

If 1.css is the currently active document, and I click the close button on the tab for 2.html, then 1.css will be closed and 2.html will become active.

I'm not sure if this is intended behaviour, but my expectation is that clicking on the close button for 2.html would close 2.html and leave 1.css both open, and active.

Hello, I think it would be nice to have a way of moving between tabs using keyboard shortcuts instead of having to use the mouse. I'm not sure if there already is a shortcut or not, I couldn't find it though - but generally most software including IDEs and web browsers use the ones in title (Ctrl and then Page Up to go left, Page Down to go right). Thanks for considering!

Having the icons on the tabs is super helpful, but would it be possible to have an option for the toolbar to make the icons smaller so more space is available for the file name? Perhaps have 2 preset sizes to pick from, the current and a smaller option.

I just notices that after opening several files, making the width of them pretty small, when you close them, thee rest of the tabs are not resized to fill the entire space.

How about add overflow:scroll and mouse wheel scrolling in js ?

When closing an unsaved file it should show a dialog to save the file like the one that is displayed when closing an unsaved file from the Working Set.

Hello, I love this extention, but a couple things to make it better...

If you can click and rearrange the tabs, similar to Google Chrome, that would be awesome! Just tried to do this and realized I couldn't. :(

When I click on a tab, it takes about 1 second to change. The extension is unusable because of this issue!

I would really like ctrl+tab to move to the next tab, right to left, and shift+ctrl+tab to move to the previous tab, left to right. This is the same way tabs are switch in, say, Safari or Chrome web browsers.

Currently this key command jumps around to different tabs because it is switching based not on position of the tab, but vertical position of the file list in the sidebar.

With the latest update the tabs no longer resize to occupy less space, and when you have many open files you can't see some of them which even overlap the tabs settings buttons.

If you don't want to implemente the old resize feature you should implement a scrolling feature so that I can see my tabs without closing others.

After minimizing and then maximizing Brackets filenames on all opened tabs disappear:

The only "fix" is to restart Brackets. Reproducible on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012.

When viewing an image the tab bar becomes unresponsive. Changing views with the working files menu allows the tab bar to work again however clicking on the image tab does nothing.

Tabs are switching their places instead of placing selected tab to appropriate spot.

When I close the tab the file content is still displayed in the editor. Should it not display the next available file's content or make the editor window blank.

Some suggestions:

1. Toggle Close-Button in Settings
   Please allow an option to toggle the Close-Button on Tabs on and off.
   I often work with shortnames, and when I click to the tab it often closing, because I clicked on the area of the Close-Button. So long the middle-click to close is avaible, I'm fine.
2. Hotkey to open closed Tabs
   You know this feature already from browsers or Sublime. When you click CMD-Shift-T (or for Win Ctrl-Shift-T), then the closed Tab/File will reopen again.
3. Save Session (not files on exit)
   I don't know if such a idea is for a tabbing plugin, but in Sublime it is nice that you can close the application with unsaved files, who will not be saved after closing. When you open Sublime again, the files are there, like they was on close. (last session) Then you can decide to save or delete your files, when ever you want.

I think it would be a nice improvement to make something like browsers have when you open too many tabs. Right now if you have a lot of files opened in brackets some may get hidden.

This is just a Nit-pick, but it kind of bothers me. The space between the settings tabs and the first tab is different than the space between the rest of the tabs. It will look nicer if all the spaces had the same width, and, if possible, you should use the smaller space between the first tab and the tabs settings.

Right clicking on tab should open the same context menu as the one used in the working set. That context menu is pretty handy, and if you hide the context menu you have no way of getting to it.

BTW, this extension is great.

Is it possible to underline, bold or change color (like Notepad++) of an unsaved file?

When you have this extension installed, the working files panel becomes useless.

You should hide it.

The setting of a tab color for folders like templates/. doesn't appear to work. Not sure if by design but would be nice. I usually like to be able to look at the color of the tab to give me an indication of where that file came from.

Sample rules maybe something like this.

• js/. (blue background, white foreground)
• templates/. (orange background, white foreground)
• viewmodels/. (green background, white foreground)

Noticed that the "has been edited, but not saved" indicator is missing on each tab after updating Brackets to v0.44. I'm sure you guys are working on the plugin after the API changes. I just wanted to bring this to your attention, if not already.

when I click a file from file tree for quick view, it should show in the tab, but IDE default panel show it.

There is a big white bar where everything is in, and the toolbar isn't the shape it is supposed to be. It basically are black squares now.

This is your latest release(5.5 or something) with the latest version of Brackets.

After this last update the position of the toolbar has changed a bit, is this intentional or is it a bug on linux?

What do you think about making the file tabs one size for all of them with a max-width of say 12em...

What do you think about moving the close button in the file tabs to the left? The issue that I tend to run into that gets me fired up every time is that when the size of the file tab changes, then the position of the close button changes. So to click on sequential close buttons will require to move the mouse each time, but when they are on the left size, you don't need to move the mouse to click the button.

just like the behavior in web browsers.

If I open two files by clicking on them in the project tree, I correctly get two tabs at the top and in the sidebar (see image below).

In the releases page its showing 0.4.4 as the latest release, but when installed using extension manager version 0.5.5 was installed.

I'm getting this exception when dragging tabs:

Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'swapWorkingSetIndexes' 

In the file bindings/drag.js.

Moving tabs around won't work, but the extension actually "works" (loads right and even change the current document).

I don't know if everything is okay with Brackets 0.43 (the lastest release); I'm using Brackets 0.44 (experimental build).
