BIND-RESTful

BIND RESTful API to perform dynamic DNS updates and display the entire zone file.

Show Entire Zone

The simple GET request will cause a zone transfer to occur and will provide JSON output for an entire zone file

curl http://127.0.0.1:5000/dns/zone/internal.net

Create DNS Entry

The simple POST request will create a domain called 'mynewhost.internal.net' with the IP address of 192.168.0.15

curl -i -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X POST http://127.0.0.1:5000/dns/record/mynewhost.internal.net/300/A/192.168.0.15

Update DNS Entry

The simple PUT request updates the 'mynewhost.internal.net' to 192.168.0.13

curl -i -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X PUT http://127.0.0.1:5000/dns/record/mynewhost.internal.net/300/A/192.168.0.13

Problem with PUT method

Hello,

I want to use your API mainly to update the IP-address of the records when an application is from one server to another, but everytime I try the UPDATE/PUT-function (via CLI or in a programm) I get : "error": "domain does not exist" as a response, eventhough the record should already exit.
Can you please help me with my problem? Do I have to change something in my DNS-server-configuration?

Bug in line 99, using default resolver instead of custom one

There's a bug in your main script in line 99.
It reads answer = dns.resolver.query(domain, record_type), but should be answer = resolver.query(domain, record_type), because then it uses the resolver object defined above.
So trivial and yet so hard to see, took me hours of debugging. Please fix.
