mocha's Issues

sorry posted this earlier in the wrong section

i have installed coldboot mocha cfw on autoboot but now instead of the splash screen it shows me a black screen with a -4. It shows a -3 when the sd card is out and i cant seem to load themocha cfw menu to get to load sysNAND or anything. What can do?

Issue when quitting games - softlock

Hello

When using this + CBHC on sysnand there is a nasty bug that quitting any application causes the Wii U to lock up after being sent back to CBHC.

It doesn't happen when using a rednand setup or without mocha so this leads us to believe its a mocha specific issue upon reboot.

rednand option wont move to yes

I dont know if I am doing something wrong or missing something but my rednand option doesn't want to change to yes. any advise?
OFW: 5.5.1
NTSC-U
HBC 1.4

I do have an sd card inserted

[Question/Feature] Seperate sysNAND titles from redNAND

Console: Wii U 32gb
OS: Mocha CFW 0.2 with CBHC 1.4
Issue:

On sysNAND I have the VC game used for CBHC, but when I boot up redNAND, that title name is a bunch of "????". I'm assuming this is an issue due to the ticket being located in sysNAND and not redNAND.

Would it be possible to separate sysNAND titles from redNAND (and vice versa)?
This way I don't have a bunch of "????" on redNAND menu (This also protects me from accidentally deleting sysNAND CBHC VC title from redNAND) ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks!

older wiiu version support

I don't necessarily need it, however a user does. Simple jest of if it is he managed to brick his vwii, and he is on 5.4. He cannot update his wiiu since vwii is bricked, and according to him (I don't know since I got my wiiu on 5.5.1) mocha doesn't work on that firmware, which results him being stuck.

[Improvement] Block USB Nag

Could you create a patch to block the USB nag? This will be essential too for when RetroArch WiiU is able to use USB to load backups

Additional Controller Sync Lost

I currently boot mocha from sysnand (haxchi) into rednand (unlinked).
Every time I use my WiiU or reboot I have to sync my additional controller (wiimote or WiiU Pro Controller etc) again. I'm not sure why?

[Mocha Fat32 Suport] Can someone change the code to be mounted only as SD Card and not as WII U HDD?

First of all, thank you so much for MOCHA!!!

I'm using a FAT32 Suport of Mocha. But i can't install game to it, i can't move games internal to USB Fat32.
I can't install games from FAT32 Mounted HDD to a Wii U Formated HDD.

But i can run Loadiine Games and i can Install USB Games to internal memory from Fat32 HDD MOUNTED.

My question it's, since i think will be hard or take a long time to full FAT32 Suport.

Can someone at least disable the FAT32 HDD MOUNT as Wii U HDD and recode it to MOUND only ast a SD Mounted?

So we can at least use FAT32 Mounted HDD to install games to a Wii U formated HDD.

The actual Mocha FAT32 Mounted HDD Build won't let me use 2 HDD in my Wii U since Wii U will recognize it's as a Wii U HDD and won't let me use 2 Wii U HDD at same Time!!

[Request/Suggestion] Enable System Settings String Change

When I want to boot into Mocha I want to know that I am on Mocha. A way you could probably do that is change the string in the system settings that says the version number and make it like [Mocha 5.5.1U]. Something like what you could do with the 3DS. That way I know that I am in the right place and have a lesser chance of bricking my system when I want to install something.

Missing Boot Options & Stuck on the splash screen...

I followed the guide precisely to Step 10 in the Haxchi for Mocha CFW with redNAND. At this point two of the boot options were missing from the config menu for Mocha. These were: "Don't relaunch OS" and "Launch System Menu".

I managed to follow past and redNAND was set up correctly on my SD card and then I put it back into the Wii U and made a sysnand folder on the system menu as instructed. I then launched Haxchi which booted Mocha correctly with the sysnand folder missing from the new system menu, which the guide says is a good thing...

However after I did this successful boot I turned off my Wii U and turned it on again to verify that I could repeat the process once more, but this time when I did it the boot process got stuck on the splash screen that says IOSUHAX:

And the television screen has this on it.

I found the items in the config.ini that were not shown in the config menu for Mocha and can modify them, but I wanted to get some further insight and input here before I fiddle any further.

EDIT:

New information about this issue can found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/WiiUHacks/comments/5hbn9v/wiiu_hacking_qa_general_why_does_my_console_not/dbchi9y/. It turns out that I was running Mocha v0.1 instead of v0.2, but I'm still having the same issue on v0.2 with the only difference being the splash screen. Again, more info available in the reddit thread there.

Haxchi and Homebrew not able to launch with "Don't relaunch OS" option ON.

I have Mocha v0.2 SysNAND and I selected the new "Do not relaunch OS" option. (I have CBHC set to autoboot Mocha CFW.)

My settings:

  • Skip this menu on launch: ON
  • Show launch image: OFF
  • Don't relaunch OS: ON
  • Launch System Menu: ON
  • RedNAND: OFF

Haxchi crashes when trying to load files. Same thing for loadiine.ovh. I redownloaded Homebrew Launcher as well.

EDIT: With Do not relaunch OS turned off, haxchi and apps work again.
EDIT 2: Playing games and such works just fine and intended, however Homebrew Apps still crash.

Bad Datas Management in RedNand

Launched my sysnand backup with mocha without a fw.img on sd root (otp and seeprom redirect on)
then go in settings/dataManagement
delete a title on nand (don't tried on usb)
return to main menu
the deleted channel appear with interrogation sign and can't be deleted anymore
reinjected my nand dump on the sd
launched with fwbooter and fw.img on the sd
all work like a charm

edit:
i finally get the same prob on rednand from iosuhax!!!!
do you know if its normal or it's just from my side?

[Suggestion] Gamepad Screen ON/OFF option

I think it would be a nice feature to have an option to integrate Maschell's Padcon, which when enabled allows to switch the gamepad's screen ON and OFF, maybe even allow other buttons (Padcon uses R3), or some button combo (I don't know if any game actually uses R3, but I'd rather have something like SELECT+R3).

Source code can be found here: https://github.com/Maschell/function-patcher-example

I know this can already be done for virtual console, but for games that only mirror the screen to the gamepad it would be nice, without having to launch two apps.

Crashed with wup installer y mod

I have no idea if this is a mocha problem so i apologize if it isn't but ever since using mocha cfw and installing some games/dlc with wup installer y mod (eshop download speeds suck) it always gets stuck on "please wait..." after it get's to 100%

edit: I should also mention that it doesn't "always" get stuck but it happens a lot and even more so with larger games

Can't Use vWii

I setup redNAND with this and I am unable to launch the vWii System Menu, says that an error has occurred in a hard to read font. The characters are missing chunks of white.

When launching the vWii the screen does flash a couple colours before failing.

Suggestion: Implement NNU Patcher's function into Mocha CFW

The need for NNU Patcher to access Eshop and game updates is high, as everyone must rely on DSN to block updates, all whilst staying on 5.5.1. Not only does the DNS restrict connection with the server, but you need to be on 5.5.2 to use the eshop/game updates. NNU Patcher temporarily unblocks the access to the server, and also bypasses the check if you're on the latest update or not.

So with that said, it would be great if NNU Patcher's function can be implemented into Mocha CFW. This way we won't need to launch NNU Patcher every time and accessing the eshop/game updates will be mindless.

This would be a big addition for Mocha CFW
