E-commerce Frontend with Next.js, TypeScript, SCSS, and Firebase

This is a frontend project for an E-commerce website built with Next.js, TypeScript, SCSS, and Firebase. It provides a modern and responsive user interface for browsing and purchasing products online.

Features

  • Product Listing: Browse through a wide range of products with detailed descriptions and images.

  • Product Details: View detailed information about each product, including price, specifications, and customer reviews.(nearly)

  • Shopping Cart: Add products to your cart and proceed to checkout when ready.(coming soon)

  • User Authentication: Sign up and log in to manage your profile and orders.

  • Order History: View your order history and track the status of your deliveries.(coming soon)

  • Search Functionality: Easily search for products using keywords or categories.

Getting Started

Follow these steps to get the project up and running on your local machine.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js: Make sure you have Node.js installed on your system.

  • Firebase Account: You'll need a Firebase account to set up the backend for authentication and data storage.

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

      git clone [https://github.com/DiegoCard117/Ecommerce.git]
      cd Ecoomerce
    
  2. Install dependencies:

      npm install
    
  3. Set up Firebase:

    -Create a Firebase project on the Firebase Console.

    -Obtain your Firebase configuration (apiKey, authDomain, projectId, etc.) from the Firebase project settings.

    -Create a .env.local file in the project root and add your Firebase configuration as environment variables:

    NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_API_KEY=your-api-key NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_AUTH_DOMAIN=your-auth-domain NEXT_PUBLIC_FIREBASE_PROJECT_ID=your-project-id

  4. Start the development server:

      npm run dev
    
  5. Open your browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to see the app in action.

Deployment

You can deploy this project to platforms like Vercel, Netlify, or Firebase Hosting. Make sure to set up the appropriate environment variables in your deployment settings for Firebase configuration.
