Creation of FIFO is problematic
There are several fail-scenarios related to the FIFO. Maybe there are better ways to communicate, like Redis, MQTT, having a parent process pass messages along?
Old data in the fifo causes an exception
Since we read the whole fifo as JSON when it in reality is one JSON per line. Only a real problem on start if the api-server has had time to write multiple messages to the fifo
