Fails to build on kernel version 5 about framework-laptop-kmod HOT 5 CLOSED

Based on comparing the kernel source code (6.something vs 5.19), it looks like the type has changed - this diff resolves the problem for kernel 5.x - do you have suggestions for how to put this behind some kind of automatically-determined flag so that the build changes appropriately?

did my fix (diff link in my last comment) resolve the issue for you as well? sounds like the API in the kernel changed between 6.1 and the current latest version.

seems odd too given that it "Has been tested from 5.10 to 6.6."
