dawn-of-civilization's Issues

Babylon Tech Glitch Part II

Using the latest version of hrcivics, I found that loading an autosave that takes place on the exact turn you get a tech gives you the message that "You have already chosen a free tech" after selecting a free tech instead of giving you said tech. Reloading the game does not fix it, it seems embedded into the autosave.

CTD with versions 1.16.6+

Running on Steam version of Civ4 with later mod versions.
Loads fine, but CTD occurs when attempting to set up the game after selecting civilization and options.
Probably associated with the change to python script instead of scenario maps?

If additional information is required (such as Python logs), please let me know which I should furnish and what settings should be set in the *.ini to dump the necessary data.

Where is the DOC map mode on 1.17?

I remember there is a DOC map mode in WorldBuilder that can check and adjust core area and flipzone on 1.16,it's pretty useful. Where has it moved on 1.17?

I am using the "Dawn of Civilization v1.17.0 with all modules" version that posted on forum.

RFC DoC Autosave Turn 8 Bablyon Glitch

Copy pasted from the attatched .txt glitch explaination file

Found a glitch in the Civ 4 mod RFC Dawn of Civilization's hrtechs branch latest version revision 3320 downloaded on 1/17/2017

The glitch is caused by playing as Babylon and gaining a free tech,
then while still in the same game instance load a previous state of the same game.
The game still has memory of you gaining a free tech previously and you do not get to choose a free tech.
Opening in a new game instance or loading the autosave from a separate instance does not seem to be affected by this glitch.
Normal save games seem to not be affected, only autosaves.

To reproduce in the attatched autosave:
1) End turn and pick free tech
2) Load autosave through in-game menu
3) End turn
4) It should state that the last free tech was picked turn 9

Can't start from RFC 600 in 1.16 RC?

When I click "Play Scenerio -> RFC 600", I saw an error message like this:

Civ IV_ Beyond The Sword 4_29_2019 7_54_21 PM

I used the zip package of v1.16.0-rc, not sure what the root cause of this issue is.

RFC BC 3000 and RFC AD 1700 works well for me. Only the RFC AD 600 doesn't work

Hi, I can't seem to find the map branch

So I searched through the closed PRs to find a PR on the map branch, and I was able to find some, which means the map branch does or did exist. However, when I click on it, I just get a 404 error. Does anyone know why that would be the case?

Mission requirements persist across different games.

I have problem - as in title. It didn't happened in 1.16.

I'm playing Babylonia, I failed to research Arithmetic as first, so I started new run. After restart I still have writing requirement ticked as "done" already in 3000BC. When Greece spawn again beats me to Arithmetic it doesn't tell me that I lose and also - once I research Arithmetic it doesn't tick it as "done" (effectively tech mission stays "not yet" forever, it doesn't collapse into NO/YES)

Restarting entire game helps. But going to menu and making new game always reproduces problem in my enviroment.

I don't know if this bug happens for all of you (especially Windows users), but I'm playing DoC(17.0) on Linux (Ubuntu 20.04.6) + Proton (7.06) on Steam. If it might be platform (some library version) dependent, I might try different proton versions, for now I just bare with restarting whole game.

Mongol conquerors for Arabia

In RhyesAndFall.py, in line 2709, there is a selection if iTeamX is Arabia or Persia. However, it can never be Arabia, because that one is already excluded in line 2692, where iTeamX can only be Persia, Russia or Byzantium.

So Mongolia doesn't receive conquerors for Arabia. Intended?

May I have access to the map branch

I tried asking on CFC but didn't get a reply, combined with some odd behaviour on other threads, I've gotten the impression you've accidentally set me to ignore. If you did so on purpose that's perfectly fine, though I've been rather low on things to do lately and have wanted to try my hand at comparing the map to various biome maps and such to see if I could find anything to suggest. Were I to remain on ignore on CFC, I'd be perfectly okay with submitting such suggestions here via pull requests.

Thank you for your time.

Ships finish turn after unloading

Even if some moves are left on a naval transport, they finish their turn after unloading units (or ordered to enter a land tile), instead of awaiting further orders.
