february-fire's Issues

add basic form for setting user permissions

  • run locally (see readme)
  • in new terminal, run
mongo februaryfire

and run

db.users.update({_id:"YOUR_ODESK_USERNAME"}, {$set:{admin:true}})
  • in index.html, if the current user has admin=true, add an "admin" button after "activity feed"
  • when this button is clicked, make an rpc call to "getAdmins" and "getEditors"
  • add/implement "getAdmins" and "getEditors" in web.js, after "getUser"
    • each function should do a query for all the users with admin=true or editor=true respectively, and return all those users
  • in index.html, when the "admin" button is clicked, after it has the rpc results,
    • reduce the array of admins to a string of usernames separated by commas
    • reduce the array of editors to a string of usernames separated by commas
    • show the admins in a textbox labeled "admins", and show the editors in a textbox labeled "editors"
  • you should at least see yourself in the admin box
  • take a screenshot of that
  • submit pull request with screenshot showing it work

to apply:

format your cover letter as follows:

  • your github username
  • what command would you run to create the node_modules directory given a package.json file?
  • how long will this task take?
