auroradmx's Issues

Color chase buttons

I have at least 100 (or more) chases so it would be fine to have coloured labels for the chases (improving visual look of the chases)!!!

Sub-masters

Link a handful of channels together and control them with one slider.

Fade time less than a second

I really like this app - It comes in pretty handy in my everyday business! My only note; it would be super nice to have the possibility to change the fade time below 1 second. :)

Aurora DMX Config import

Trying to import a shared configuration to version 4.0.3 of AuroraDMX on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A Tablet running Android 7.1.1. When clicking on the *.AuroraDMX file, a popup comes up asking to select an app to open with, however the AuroraDMX app doesn't come up and an option to search playstore comes up, first result being the app itself (AuroraDMX). From the app itself there is no option to import an external configuration file. Is there a way to import an external configuration file without relying on the default app selection for the file extension?

Chase

Allow one cue to automatically fade into another one and chain them.

Fixture scroll not rendering drags

On a Huawei Mate 10 Pro in portrait mode dragging the fixture levels up and down doesn't update the scroll bars. It works in landscape mode though. No reports of this issue on other devices.

Moving head, X/Y touch pad 8 & 16 bit

Create a new channel type that is a square grid that the user can drag their finger over to control a moving head. The x axis of this square would be assigned to one or two channels and the y axis would be assigned to one or two other channels.

Keystroke next cue

Use a keyboard (or bluetooth camera trigger) to click the next cue button.

Run in the background

Users want to put AuroraDMX in the background and continue transmitting DMX signal. This way the user can switch apps, and not loose the lighting signal.

MIDI input

I was wondering what are the chances that Aurora could one day be triggered with MIDI messages.

Do you want just one specific MIDI message to trigger the Next Cue button? Or some way of mapping a MIDI message to a cue, then when struck the cue will start?

Either one would be a huge step up from the current situation, where it seems there aren't any apps that allow lighting changes synced to a phone's audio playback. Next cue would be tremendous start, but of course having more granular control would ultimately be the bees knees. Whatever you have time for. In either case, your app would have the market all to itself. The second option seems a little more resilient to errors, because if the sequencer sent an erroneous message, it would be corrected at the next scene.

How do you hope to send MIDI signals to the Android device/ AuroraDMX? You mention audio playback. I was thinking some kind of MIDI to OTG USB input existed out there. Or are you hoping that AuroraDMX could listen to Google's Play Music's output?

Yes, Im trying to play the music from a Digital Audio Workstation on an Android device or phone. The software will be something like Audio Evolution or N-Track 8, which will play back the audio and midi messages simultaneously, in sync. It would be great if Aurora just had a software virtual MIDI input port to accept the messages from the virtual output port of the Digital Audio Workstation software. That way no cable is needed. This is similar to how people pair Freestyler to say, Cubase, in Windows.

It looks like "n-Track Studio 8 Music DAW" is free and might have a MIDI output. Is there one you use/ like the best that I should target/ test? I like the no cables/ devices idea. I will also have to make sure AuroraDMX keeps outputting when it gets sent to the background.

AFAIK those are the only 2 that are really in the game.

Multi user

Create a way to sync two devices on the same network. This would allow two devices to have AuroraDMX open, transmitting to the same server and not freak out.

Master Slider

Create a slider that will change the output value of all channels.

Reorder chase

a reorder chase pop up could be very useful (and aliminate the need of folders)!!!

Park Channel

Just one little idea that would be great to implement to your aplication.
It would be usefull if the channel setup tab (where you can add the name of the channel and define presets) have one more option with a checkbox.
This option is for make out the selected channel from the cue control or from the chase. This means that the channels where this checkbox selected the output signal only depends from the adjusted value of the main screen and when you switch to other cue these channels keeps own values.
This is good when you have fixtures what is only for static light.
This checkbox name could be "static channel" or "ignore from cue" or something like this.

Sync data to Google account

When a user reinstalls the app they loose all the settings, queues, and fixtures that they have setup. It would be nice if this data could be stored in the user's Google account automatically and restored on reinstall.
