This mod is now "abandoned" and no longer worked on. This mod has been the definition of Developer Hell :wheeze_crisis:

What is Pastel Wonderland?

Pastel Wonderland is a mod that uses pastel colors and feels to provide you with a beautiful, yet chaotic, dimension. All blocks are unique, and worldgen doesn't use any vanilla blocks (or is at least planned to not use any).

This mod is still in its early stages and in development, you can grab the latest archives from the actions tab, once that is set up. You're likely to encoutner many a bug and issues with certain things working or not.

This mod is required... I'd recommend downloading it.

pastelwonderland's Issues

Change sky and water color

literally looks like blood water and a very weird sky right now, and it was meant to be placeholder, but it should really be changed now.

What's going on with this mod

1.18 is also getting a version bump to 0.1.0 of the mod, instead of 0.0.3 as a lot of major changes are happening, and is basically a reimagination of the mod. however is basically backwards compt with the rest of the mod since it is all still the same blocks

oh and the fact we are moving back to java and moving the project to be developed by more people within Team Nautical, a subset of devOS: Sanity Edition that is comprised of Minecraft modders and will be specifically focusing on Minecraft modding (for the time being)

[Feature Request] Consistent Block Types

Is your feature request related to a problem in the mod? Please describe.
There are not enough blocks. Simply Put this is what I want to aim for with this feature request. A consistent amount of blocks per block type, just like how C+ does this, but obviously built into our mod and not an addon or anything to C+

Describe alternatives you've considered
Having just the current blocks we have, which are halfway boring and you can't build a whole lot with them, plus they do not interface well with vanilla blocks as they are quite flat, having multiple variations (like C+ does) of each block would let interfacing into vanilla designs be easier.

[Feature Request] More Material Types

Is your feature request related to a problem in the mod? Please describe.
Not enough variety of material types, Ex: We only have "Pastel Tools + Armor"

Describe the feature you'd like added
Adding multiple types of materials, having a somewhat vanilla progression, kinda changed.

Leather -> Pastel Wood
Chainmail -> Pastel Stonewood
Gold -> Pastel Stained Silver
Iron -> Pastel Gray Iron
Diamond -> Pastel White Sapphire

Figure out new world gen

  • Have the main blocks be grass block-like instead of concrete-like
  • Feature new trees
  • Have it forest like
  • Use vanilla mobs as placeholders [absolutely no skeletons though.]
  • Amplified-like

[Feature Request] Dimension/World Gen

Is your feature request related to a problem in the mod? Please describe.
Partially, and also just needed for the general direction we want to take the mod. Our Dimension is the mainstay for all of the content being added in Pastel Wonderland in version 0.1, and we currently have 0 places to put it besides the creative inventory.

Describe the feature you'd like added
Well, obviously a dimension and world/biome generation. This will require us to possibly use an embedded datapack for portal registration and building, as well as our own portal block. We have to do this since most APIs are for Forge or Fabric only and we are using Architectury which means it would be easier if we could just do it our own way instead of writing it specifically for multiple loaders.

Describe alternatives you've considered
well, we could have everything in the overworld, however, this throws off everything as we have our own blocks and palette, and there is an annoying bug in 1.18.x where you add biomes and all biomes in general just shrink in size when generating a world. There's not really a way around that...

Additional context
As stated above, we essentially need a dimension to house all of our ideas for lore (which isn't a whole lot currently, planned for 0.4 era), and blocks, and structures (0.3, along with entities, or 0.4, as a standalone update).
