primer's Introduction

Introduction

Community participation is crucial to the success of a new project. This is why we are launching Desmos Primer ("Primer"), a simple cookbook that will help you to get started with Desmos and enjoy a brand new social networking experience.

How the Primer works

To make things as easy as possible we will gradually publish new challenges that, once completed, will grant you Desmos Tokens. To help newer users to get used to the blockchain space, along with each challenge we will publish a step-by-step completion guide to explain the reason behind some specific operations.

Please note that you will only get Desmos Tokens when you have completed the challenges by the given deadlines and conditions.

In case of dispute, Desmos’ team reserves the right of the final decision.

Registering for the Primer

In order to participate to the Primer you need to have an active GitHub account to help us identify you uniquely. If you do not have one yet, you can register for free here: Join GitHub.

Phases

If you're feeling ready to take part to the Primer, here are all the phases currently active:

primer's Issues

Determine validators rewards

Currently we're giving validators 250 DSM upon validating during an entire Primer Phase. Should we increment this number?

Error: failed to load Store: wanted to load target 257300 but only found up to 250000

My validator stopped and jailed, with the following error in logs, restart don't fix the issue

desmosd[20276]: I[2020-05-15|15:18:10.949] starting ABCI with Tendermint module=main
desmosd[20276]: failed to load Store: wanted to load target 257300 but only found up to 250000

there is enough disk space. the clean DB and restart don't help.

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
udev 3.9G 0 3.9G 0% /dev
tmpfs 798M 13M 786M 2% /run
/dev/sda2 195G 36G 150G 20% /

Change the script to use local files

Currently the gather-data script fetches the data from the remote repository using Github APIs. We can change this to use local data instead as it's available inside the repo itself.

Please merge scores for Wanderer and Wanderer-Cry

Hello Riccardo,

it appeared that I made an error and for some phases named files as Wanderer instead of Wanderer-Cry, this belongs to one user, me :)

Can you please amend the leaderboard accordingly I'll try to be careful then.
