The current saltminion chocolatey package won't install because the download url is invalid.

Downloading saltminion 64 bit
from 'http://docs.saltstack.com/downloads/Salt-Minion-2015.5.3-AMD64-Setup.exe'
Installing saltminion...�

Unfortunately this just saves a html directory index page as an exe and causes an error with stack trace output. The correct url appears to be: https://repo.saltstack.com/windows/Salt-Minion-2015.5.3-2-x86-Setup.exe

Is there any way to work around this issue in the mean time?

It seems that when doing choco uninstall saltminion and answering "Cancel" in the pop box puts choco in an invalid state (thinks it has been uninstalled but salt-minion is still there). Any way of fixing this in choco ?

I'd like to see a default build number and a way to override the one in the package. Is that feasible in chocolatey or would that violate packaging rules?
