Sometimes I want to hear some podcasts and some not from one list. When I chose the podcasts, the list jumps back to the top. I have to scroll down again and then - I am not sure anymore if I added this special episode to the playlist or not.
A sign/mark, like "downloaded" would be very helpful.

After having reinitialized my Lumia 950, only the menus are visible.

The content of all the pages has turned completely white.

I've reinitialized the app, un/re-installed it, without any change.

Have you got a solution ?

Settings other then maybe external storage, downloading/streaming over metered connections should syncmetered

I hear a lot of very different podcasts. Sometimes comedy, sometimes music, sometimes politics and so on. So different playlists would be very helpful. At the moment I change the items manually, what is a little bit annoying.

Some of the podcast in the playlist use the wrong image (duplicate)

I can see from the appxmanifest that you're currently targeting RS1, and MinVersion is also RS1, however, for the platform extension SDKs you were referencing the TH2 extension SDKs. Should the referenced extension SDKs be brought up to RS1. I'm unsure if they offer bugfixes, or if it's just making the later extension SDK APIs available.

Now that RS2 is the current latest release from Microsoft, should target SDK be updated to RS2? What level of legacy support do you want to maintain? 2 releases, so keep MinVersion at RS1 until whatever comes next comes along?

This means that the latest features can be incrementally added, but gives people chance to wait out initial release bugs if they choose?

Have a way to specify settings per podcast

This happens when scrolling a list of episodes: if you touch the play button it could stay smaller than expected

I am really loving the app but it crashes as soon as the episode ends and tries to move to the next one. Is there a missing update I don't have yet?

As you collect podcasts in a group you may realize that the group name needs to be refined.

I can't see any tests for either the main app code, the UI, or the common code. Would it be worth adding test coverage for helping with quality, particularly if more people are going to start contributing.

This may or may not be an issue after @aalok05 's PR, but the about page (contributor?) header is missing. The about page generally doesn't make use of much of the available space and is concentrated up in the top left area of the window on Desktop.

The library page is very empty when the user has no podcasts in their library. It might be nice to reuse the "It's empty here" style screen that the user sees on first load to give the page some personality. Perhaps add some information to help the user out with how they can find some content to add to their library.

I have just tested your podcast app. It looks great but I really think that they are a missing feature (or I didn't found the option). I would like to be able to override the defaut configuration "number of episodes to download" for a specific podcast.

A few users told that their collections was deleted suddenly.
Need to investigate why

• Move the about from options to this page
• Add a link to the repo issues

To search, the user currently has to open the hamburger menu/click search on the left to navigate to a whole page dedicated to searching.

It would be nice to add a search box to the top right of the window where there is sufficient UI space, and show search result candidates as a suggestion box. If they hit enter, move to the full search result page.

The sort of design/behavior I am talking about is what the Store app does.

Every time I close the app or restart my phone my list of podcasts is wiped out. It tries to sync from onedrive, but crashes the app. Using Lumia 650, 10.0.15063.297

It does not seem possible to read the podcast description.
Adding an icon to access the description in the different lists (libray/playlist) would be excellent

So, I have two propositions of UI enhancements and one remark:

I wish I could:

1. mark episodes as non-deletable by the "delete downloads older than" option.

2. have the ability to drag and drop episodes in playlist. Right now I have to annoyingly choose the move up/down from the context menu to sort episodes in order I'd like.

And remark: after rosolving the #28 (thanks again for that!) the mobile app crashes more frequently. I can't reproduce them in any logical manner: sometimes its during updates, sometimes during removing episodes from playlist, sometimes in options menu :-)

I chose my SD card to store downloaded episodes. After adding episodes to playlist I choose "download all". It looks like the program is downloading, but the folder od card remains empty. The same when I choose to download individual episodes.

Phone is Lumia 735 with Windows 10

I really like this app so I would like to use it but at least 1 time on 2 my complete phone is crashing when I try to navigate in the app. I also have a lot downloaded podcasts that I can't read.
I am a developper so if you tell me how to debug it on my phone or activate some logs I can help you to debug it.

I have to stop and restart downloads about a third of the time in order for them to complete. It happens on several different networks.

I use the option to have new episodes added to my playlist automatically. I'm often a bit behind in my listening, so the episodes at the top of my list are older than the two most recent for that podcast. I've set my download limit to two episodes, but it always downloads the two most recent ones, not the ones highest on my playlist.

At least as an option, I wish it would instead download the episodes nearest the top of my playlist. Even better would be an option to set the total number of downloads, instead of a limit per feed. Combined with playlist-order prioritization, this would allow me to optimize my storage usage.

Currently the app is written with a lot of business logic in page behinds, rather than with an MVVM architecture. This will potentially limit the extent to which code can be tested as UI is tightly coupled to business logic. Is there any interest in migrating the app to an MVVM architecture?

Can you add playback controls in full screen mode?

If you set up a library with a number of podcasts and then set retention settings, podcasts only seem to download when the app it actually launched on the Xbox. There does not seem to be background downloading?

In addition, I have had it say that my Xbox was on a metered connection on 1 occasion (no idea why) so I turned off the don't download/stream on metered connection options.

Often I have encountered that when I open the app and go to Downloads, I just get the 'bouncing balls' (hourglass) where the download status bar should be and it will stay like that forever. I have to reboot the Xbox to resolve and then the podcasts download. BTW, as a feature request it would be nice to see download speeds, ETA, etc. as sometimes it is hard to know if something is actually downloading.

On the Xbox, since it is running fullscreen by default, it is important to have the mouse cursor disappear when there is no movement

It would look really nice, and suit the design language to introduce a connected animation transition from the podcast search result page, to the podcast detail page.

I browse the library in "unplayed/desc" view, looking at episode descriptions and marking some as played.
After not so long the app will crash forgetting all data(that was marked played)

One playlist is nice, but since I use listen to different types of podasts in differents situations (work, on my motorcycle, evening,...), it would be very nice to be able to have more playlists available

I'm not 100% sure what this podcast does but occasionally they will somehow manage to duplicate their podcasts. I've checked the Podcast.cast file and I saw that it had recorded up to episode 81 when the latest episode displayed was 89 and episodes after 81 were flagged as played but your podcast.cast file didn't have jack about them (stored locally on the actual machine?).

Last year I had this podcast quadruple itself and at the time I had it downloading all episodes so I deleted the entire podcast, closed the program and then re-added it back in but surely there is something that can be done via code to detect this sort of issue (deleting podcasts and renaming them). I've also had this happen with two other podcasts when they changed their episode name formats a tad but that only happened once (where as this one seems to happen somewhat regularly).

But there were a few named episodes without numbers that were there before I deleted the series that I had definitely listed too that vanished (Year End Announcement as one I had listed too which was after episode 81 and the rest of the named ones were after episode 81).

Podcasts take much longer to download when they are queued and are downloading multiple files at the same time. Faster when only one file downloads at a time.

Make it more usable and readable

For instance "The Paleo Solution" by Robb Wolf and Ben Greenfield Fitness podcast.
The episodes show "downloaded" in the playlist and appear in the downloads section until you restart the app. This is most likely related to the length of the file name - there was an issue before, which was not completely fixed.

Can you shrink the video when in portrait mode so I can watch video podcasts without being in full screen mode?

You have to navigate back and forth to update the UI

There is currently a render issue with the splitview where the focus rectangle for the menu is too big and overlaps the page title content.

Also, tab to the hamburger, hit space to open. Focus then switches to the search page, even if the user is actually on another page. Direction keys then moves focus within the list, selecting the item as focus moves, but the page doesn't transition until the hamburger pane is dismissed.

It seems impossible to remove a podcast from the playlist without marking it read or deleting it.

I wish it were possible to remove a podcast from the playlist but leave it downloaded in the library

Sometimes you put a podcast in the wrong group, or in the general group because you don't have a good idea yet about the right group to it in. It would be very helpful to be able to move a podcast to another group, either an existing one or a new one.
