Features panel loads on original page load, but on click of its primary nav link.

The links that launch the tours don't seem to be firing their click events.

Both act like regular links.

Set mode returns undefined when changing tabs in primary nav - happens on several of the primary nav tabs when traversing site

Mode winds up getting switch back to featured_places when you request a specific news article via permalink.

Animation freezes while tour is loading

For the panorama KML balloons in Exploration History mode, the content is mostly too wide for the balloon as rendered. The right side of the content div is cut of by the balloon frame.

GE plugin hijacks keyboard when it has the focus, so events on reload shortcut keys is problematic.

Window doesn't seem to loose focus when clicking on browser reload button, so hash doesn't update as it does when clicking in location bar.

Could set timer to update hash every so often (30 second intervals?) - issues: don't want to clutter history by updating too often, and it creates an inconsistent user experience since hash will sometimes update and sometimes not, depending on whether the timeout has happened at time of page reload.

Works fine until after first overlay change is made, then:

In FF 7.0.1 cursor change to pointer and mouse-over background-color changes stop working.

In Chrome cursor change to pointer stops working (but mouse-over background-color changes still work).

Menu is still functional, just a cosmetic problem. And leaving the menu, then returning resets it to original working condition.

Next and prev click events should prevent the default action (loading a new page with the link's href url), and instead fire a click event handler that replaces the content panel's html with another chapter of the guide.

This works the first time you click a different link, but after that if you return to the same chapter and click a link again, the custom handler won't fire and the default action will.

Tours click events aren't responding - on Tour titles in content pane

New layers menu code isn't totally finished and is first suspect.

Every time you click next or prev in travellers' guide, the primary nav mode init function gets called and replaces the KML in the globe.
This seems to be breaking the jump to placemark functionality. It's also moving labels around and causing other nastiness.
