Only individuals that have been around for N generations are participating in selection ( elimination or even parent selection). So we probably nee to start with initialisation were we just select best ones to be a parent and only then start to remove those who was not efficient over N generations on average. We could have called it a Decades ( part of generation) or consider Generation to be a family with the same genes over N generations. We then eliminate families with bad performance over generations.
