Investigate issue with slow connection causing timeouts.

Need to convert the DB date format (1309487400) to a Js friendly date. Possibly using something like this: http://phpjs.org/functions/date/

Currently we querying for every row in the artists table, then running a _.each on those rows to do some calculation, then some more filtering to get down to 20 rows. Need to find a better way to do this.

Right now we are instantiating a connection from the pool for every query, should we try to only create one connection per request and pass it around??
