mppt_master's Issues

measure output current

It can be nice measure curent from battery to load. I understand that this feature is not required for Mppt. Just for loging, battry life, etc

Possibility to connect multiple panels

It would be nice if you could point me to the right direction to enhance the design for connecting multiple solar panels or if you could modularize the system to be able to add multiple panels.

On startup, program the ESP8266 with the SSID/password

In the existing code, first I connect the ESP8266 module to my router by entering the ssid and password, then upload the code to arduino.I need the code should option for entering SSID and Passwoed,so that when user upload the code to arduino, the ESP8266 module connect to the router automatically.

Snubber design to reduce EMI and increase efficiency

The snubber used is a RC (R6 200ohm and C8 0.1uF) across the inductor. I am wondering if it's more efficient and less noisy to use a RC + C snubber. My solar controller will be near some radio equipment and I'd like to eliminate any ringing from the inductor.

There's a good article about this here: http://www.hagtech.com/pdf/snubber.pdf and I plan on doing some testing to make a better snubber.

40V 300W Solar Cell Voltage Limit

Hello,

I have a 300W Solar Cell laying around and I want to use it wit yout MPPT-Design.
The problem: it has about 40V maximum.
Where is the 25V limit, I mean the mosfets can handle 55V...

Is the Problem D2 ( the MOSFET-Diver ), because it is directly conneted to the solarcell Voltage?
A Solve would be to just use a LM2596 Buck converter and drive D2 with that voltage..

Or is it somewhere else?

Sorry for my (hopefully not so) bad English.

Gerne auch in Deutsch ;-)
