ddcli's Issues

Some positional arguments may be dropped when they appear before optional arguments.

All right, let's try this ddcli thing out.

% wget -q https://github.com/ddribin/ddcli/archive/master.zip
% unzip -q master.zip
% cd ddcli-master
% clang SimpleApp.m ddcli_main.m lib/*.m -I lib -framework Foundation -Wall -o simple
% ./simple
Output: (null), help: 0
Arguments: (
)
% ./simple -h
Output: (null), help: 1
Arguments: (
)
% ./simple -o foo
Output: foo, help: 0
Arguments: (
)
% ./simple arg
Output: (null), help: 0
Arguments: (
    arg
)

So far, so good. But what happens if I swap the order around? It should still work, right?

% ./simple arg -h
Output: (null), help: 1
Arguments: (
    "-h"
)

Wait, what?

% ./simple foo bar -h
Output: (null), help: 1
Arguments: (
    bar,
    "-h"
)

Aha. Maybe it's assuming options always come first, and simply skipping the first x arguments?

% ./simple foo bar baz -o outfile
Output: outfile, help: 0
Arguments: (
    baz,
    "-o",
    outfile
)

Without having read through the source thoroughly, it looks like that might be it. Maybe you were thinking of GNU getopt(), which actually reorders argv so that all the options are first?
