dash_sample_dashboard's Issues

Styling the Dashboard

Hi David,

I assume the Assets directory and Custom.css is what you used to style the dashboard, How did you connect this file/directory to the main code in order to reflect the styling of the dashboard ? and if its not that directory/file you used to style the dashboard. I would like to know how you styled it by providing borders. Thank you.

Where can I find its corresponding definition for classname "tab first", "tab"

I download all the css file to local dash sample dashboard project
but cannot find its corresponding definition for classname "tab first", "tab"

get_menu() function refers to the classname "tab first", "tab" in header.py
def get_menu():
    menu = html.Div([

        dcc.Link('Overview - Birst   ', href='/cc-travel-report/overview-birst/', className="tab first"),

        dcc.Link('Overview - GA   ', href='/cc-travel-report/overview-ga/', className="tab"),

        dcc.Link('Paid Search   ', href='/cc-travel-report/paid-search/', className="tab"),

        dcc.Link('Display   ', href='/cc-travel-report/display/', className="tab"),

        dcc.Link('Publishing   ', href='/cc-travel-report/publishing/', className="tab"),

        dcc.Link('Metasearch and Travel Ads   ', href='/cc-travel-report/metasearch-and-travel-ads/', className="tab"),

    ], className="row ")
    return menu

code in index.py, and i download all the css files to local

external_css = ["https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/normalize/7.0.0/normalize.min.css",
                "https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/skeleton/2.0.4/skeleton.min.css",

Why read the data 3 times?

I think the same dataset df = pd.read_csv('data/performance_analytics_cost_and_ga_metrics.csv') was read in these files when then app is launched. It was read 3 times.

components/functions.py
callbacks.py
layouts.py

Would it be better to create a Singleton object so that the CSV is only read once?

how to run locally?

thank you for your medium post? how do you run locally?

I tried python app.py
