In a fork of your Project I found a bug and because I don't want to repeat myself I will just lazily put a link to the issue I wrote there:

I guess I may have a higher chance of getting this problem solved here, because @david0 is the auther of the project itself and @owdee added the funktionality.

So the shortcut works; but sadly its a bit buggy. Normally when using it with the Pause key it's not that big of a deal. The bug also occures in this constellation, but normally your not using the Pause that often.

But when changing it to say Win + Space (the familiar shortcut for changing the keyboard-layout) it's frankly unusuable.

Control+Alt+Zeichen erzeugt zwar die richtigen Zeichen, kann aber "Nebeneffekte" haben... Bei manchen Applikationen (PhpStorm, Chrome) veranlasst "alt" bereits, dass das Menü fokus erhält, was natürlich nicht gewünscht ist hier.
Es ist auch denkbar, dass Anwendungen Shortcuts auf Control+Alt+Zeichen registrieren.

Abhilfe gegen alle o.g. Probleme schafft die Verwendung von Altgr+Zeichen.

Meine lieblings IDEs haben leider alle Probleme mit dem Neo Layout:
Webstorm (IntelliJ) hat kürzlich gepatcht, aber die Kombination mit AltGr+Shift+e/s/d/f zum markieren funktionieren nicht.
Sublime erkennt AltGr gar nicht.

Ich würde gerne dieses Paket testen, gibt es irgendwo eine Anleitung?
