fracpaq's Issues

Is this project open source?

May I suggest adding a LICENSE file to your repo so that people know they can legally use the software?

My suggestion would be Apache 2.0 or LGPL 3.0 (the Lesser, or Library, GPL), depending on where you stand on 'share alike'. Some people find this useful: https://choosealicense.com/

How do I determine if the Hough threshold is chosen correctly?

Hi All,

This program is so convenient and very helpful to me, thanks for this great tool!

I'm ashamed that I don't know much about the field of image analysis.
I felt that the User Guide was vague about determining a reasonable Hough threshold.
Could you explain it to me in detail?

Many thanks!
YL Fan

Undefined function or variable 'traces'

I've created a SVG image following the steps in FracPaq User Guide.
When I try import the SVG file the error 'Undefined function or variable 'traces' happens.
This is the traceback:

FracPaQ version 2.6.1

Length and orientation files

Hi All,

Enjoying using FracPaQ for the first time, thanks for this great tool!

Any suggestions on how to generate a .txt file for all of the length and orientation data for both traces and segments @DaveHealy-github?
Ideally would have the associated orientations and lengths for each fracture.
I'd like to generate Fisher distributions and some other specific length statistics from these data.

Many thanks!
Alannah

FracPaQ shows svg file from inkscape incompletely

Hello,
I tried using an .svg file from Inkscape as an input node file for FracPaq 2.8. I saved my file as plain svg, FracPaQ showed a preview however it was incomplete - it only converted 6 traces out of 32 present in my file. I tried different svg saving options in in Inkscape, but nothing worked. When I tried opening the same file in CorelDraw and saving as svg from there it worked without problem. However I would prefer to use files made in Inkscape if possible. Are there any peceuliarities about using Inskcape files I am missing? I am attaching my plain svg file which shows as incomplete when used in FracPaQ.

Thanks for assistance
Filip
