Since I use budgie and this applet, I have an issue with the applet not asking for password when connecting to an unknow wireless network.
I must open the network configuration and enter the password by hand in the network page.
The only I can make it work is by installing the network-manager-applet alongside the budgie one, wich left me with two network tray icon.
What can I do to make the budgie-network-applet to ask for password or disable the display of network-manager-applet?
I was thinking that it might look nice if icons were added before each connection type name (as in, before Wired, WiFi, etc) on the switches, similar to DataDrake's mockup (I'd include a link to that, but I'm not sure where it is). See https://i.imgur.com/MiBu57L.png for my own terrible picture explanation.
I started a branch for this, but so far it hasn't worked like I expected. I'm more than willing to continue work on it if desired.
After enabling the applet Firefox opens going to google.com (not my homepage). Disabling it again fixes the issue. It sometimes happens in the background, but also happens when switching networks.
