lotmaxxsnapshot's Introduction

Info

Note: Updated to work with Cura 5.0

Note: Turns out MKS TFT uses the same format, so the plugin should work for the boards using MKS TFT as well

Cura plugin generating and embedding snapshot image of a model in a gcode.

Designed and Tested with Lotmax SC-10 Shark (users are mentioning it also works with MKS boards). If it works with other printers, please let me know.

This plugin can be configured to work only with given printers, to avoid adding unnecessary snapshot images to the G-code for printers which do not support them.

Plugin Installation in Cura 5.3

Hi,

I'm trying to get your plugin running in Cura 5.3, but the plugin is not showing up in the list of installed plugins.

I saw that in cura 5.3 plugins are stored under "plugin\yourplugin\yourplugin\yourplugin.py
So two identically named subfolders under "plugins" are used before the actual plugin code is stored (.py, .json, etc.)

I tried both, putting your plugin folder under plugins and also using another folder in between, but it seems cura is not picking up the plugin at all.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any quick hint how to get this running since I would like to have a thumbnail on the Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus which uses the gimage thumbnail as well and the MKS Wifi Plugin fails creating a gimage which is picked up by the Neptune 3 Plus.

Best regards,
Huettenwirt

Is it possible to apply your plugin to Prusa Slicer?

I have a printer with mks tft. When slicing in Сura, the preview thumnail is embedded in the gcode file normally - through m10086 "simage" and "gimage". When cutting Prusa Slicer, the preview is recorded as "thumbnail begin" and does not show the image on the screen in the printer. Is it possible to use your plugin for post-processing in Prusa Slicer?
