At the moment the plugin is searching using the following file mask: **/reports/ktlint/*.xml.

To be more flexible it would be good to extract this hardcoded mask and allow passing it into the scan() function via configuration.

The current implementation always uses message to post comments.

To make use of the severity in the lint reports, we can add an option to use more of the message types:

• message
• warn
• fail
• markdown (not sure if there's a use-case for this one?)
