I'm trying to build this with python 3 and matplotlib 2.2.2 but it's getting angry about the Triangulation attributes, it seems like the matplotlib folks updated the Triangulation attributes a bit for python 3. I guess I'm mainly confused about why we're using triangulation at all when building the mesh for finite elephant/differences.

What are the advantages of using Delaunay triangulation versus something like numpy.meshgrid to generate the mesh?

Context: my most recent PDE experience was finite differences on electrical potential from Griffiths Electrodynamics parallel plate capacitors in Matlab where we also used meshgrid.
