qi-graphql's Introduction

QI - test your GraphQL

I felt pain with all the graphiql clones. Authorization and re-authorization is nightmare and I missed some other features, too (view headers, timings, possibility to save something from the result of one query and use it in subsequent or another query - like pagination token, etc.).

Currently only barebone cli available and highly opinionated - it serves my needs but I'm willing to make it much better, because I'm working on more projects.

And as you can see... very bare documentation and probably very buggy. Not ready for prime time but if you feel the same pain, I'm happy to cooperate and make it better.

How to use it

npm install -D qi-graphql

Create folder for config

mkdir .qi

Create settings.json there (example):

{
  "queries": ["queries/*.gql"],
  "vars": ["queries/*.vars.js"],
  "servers": {
    "myserver": {
      "url": "https://some/graphql"
    }
  },
  "clients": {
    "authLambda": {
      "server": "myserver",
      "default": true,
      "authorizer": {
        "source": "qi-cognito",
        "credentials": {
          "username": "xxxx",
          "password": "xxxx",
          "userPoolId": "xxxx",
          "clientId": "xxxx"
        }
      }
    },
  }
}

Create some queries in the folder queries (or any other but reflect "queries" section in settings). You can see some examples in the examples/queries folder in the repo.

Run the query

qi query -q yourquery

See qi help or qi query help.

More documentation to come.

qi-graphql's Issues

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because it uses your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we didn’t receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, it’s possible that you don’t have CI set up yet. We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check how it’s configured. Make sure it is set to run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on absolutely every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

Once you have installed and configured CI on this repository correctly, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial pull request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper App’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organization’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.
