I had the luck to attend a demostration in Berlin on how to do gen export for the pi. There was an example patch that I couldnt find in the repo . It would be great to have access to that patch to use it as a guideline for less experienced individuals .
Im giving it a try now with the gen~ export code patchers and see how well it goes

Not really sure about what went wrong in my first trials . I followed the steps as described in the readme

Linux MyPI 4.9.48-v7

Running JACK in duplex mode (or capture mode)—works fine in Playback mode. Audacity can read and write to the card through JACK but GenPi crashes on launch with a segfault.

Was it tested only in a virtual machine?
Alsa works like charm in Jessie , (CTL and USB), compile OK, (CLI)

but unable to set ALSA output in GenPi app ..
