Distributed SMOTE Upsampling

Pyspark implementation of SMOTE upsampling technique using Docker container

Setup

For Windows, install the following:

  1. WSL2
  2. Docker Desktop
  3. Open WSL2 terminal and issue the command: ./setup.sh
  4. (IMPORTANT!!!!) When finished working, Ctrl-C on the WSL2 terminal and issue the command ./cleanup.sh

For UNIX based system (MAC, LINUX):

  1. MAC
  2. LINUX: pick your distro
  3. Open terminal and issue the command: ./setup.sh
  4. (IMPORTANT!!!!) When finished working, Ctrl-C on the WSL2 terminal and issue the command ./cleanup.sh

Roadmap

Add support for other coding lanaguges and usecases through the use of standardized Dockerfile (follow KISS principle).
