For incoming orders one could monitor the used payment methods.
If an active payment method is never used, this could be a hint, that it does not work properly in the frontend and can not be chosen.

As a shop owner not only the active products are interesting, but more the amount of actually saleable products.
So it would be helpful to check not only for the status in product check but also for the stock status resp. the qty in stock.

A lot of shops use product or order exports.
A check if these are run correctly would be great.
Additionally, one could check the time which was needed for an export to know if the content of the export could be correct.

It would be great to know if the catalogsearch works as expected.
So a metric could be added, which checks for the amount of searches and the amount of the corresponding results.

To be notified when the shop is the victim of a SPAM attack, it would be great to have a check there.
For example one could check the amount of contact form requests, the amount of orders with specific details or the amount of newsletter subscribers.

It would be awesome to have a check about logging files as file.
For example one could monitor the size of the logging files.

A lot of shops use M2ePro to connect the catalog to third party marketplaces.
It would be great to have a metric here as well to be sure, that everything works fine with the synchronization.
This could be done for example by checking the amount of errors thrown by this module.
Additionally, the amount of imported orders could be monitored.

For a Magento shop it is essential, that the cronjob runs as expected.
So a metric which checks that would be great.

A metric for the amount of orders in specific statuses would be pretty helpful.
If orders stay in incomplete statuses, the order fulfilment process could be broken.
