Like in prometheus service discovery, i would like to add the ability to scrap services instead of tasks
We have to permit user to do both on the same service too, with different metric path

On kubernetes, there is no problem, as the labels are on different objects (service vs pod)
Here i think we have to double labels specifically for that use case, like :

• prometheus.service.enable
• prometheus.service.network
• prometheus.service.port
• etc...

Dear Community,

I am working on integrating Docker Swarm discovery upstream in Prometheus.

The upstream work is at prometheus#7420

I did not start that work based on this fork ; as the SD mechanisms have changed since this fork was written. However, I think that the implementation I am proposing is more complete and all the usecases proposed by this fork should be available.
