rest's Introduction

REST

REST is a reinforcement learning framework for rectilinear Steiner minimum tree (RSMT) construction. Read our paper for more details:

Dependencies

  • Python 3.6+
  • PyTorch 1.10.0+
  • GeoSteiner 5.1 (included)

Training

Start a new training process for degree 20 by

python3 train.py --degree 20

Testing

  1. Test the trained model using randomly generated data set by
python3 test.py --degree 20

  1. Or use the trained parameters included with this repository
python3 test.py --degree 20 --experiment DAC21

  1. As mentioned in the paper, the percentage error can be further reduced by using multiple transformations of the input point set for inference. Inference using all eight transformations by
python3 test.py --degree 20 --experiment DAC21 --transformation 8

  1. Lastly, if you want to test the same data set as in the paper
python3 test.py --degree 20 --test_data test_set/test20.txt

Results

Using only one of the transformations for inference

rest's Issues

GeoSteiner 5.1

GeoSteiner 5.1是32位的程序吗?
运行过程中会报错OSError: [WinError 193] %1 不是有效的 Win32 应用程序。

edges of rest

Is it possible to get the edge of the RSMT from this algorithm? I mainly want to use the algorithm to split into multiple two-pin wiring

An error about OSError: [WinError 193]

When I run the test.py like instruction, I got an error OSError: [WinError 193].
It means I use 64bit python module to evoke 32bit evaluator exe when program load evaluator module.

File "M:\OpenSource\REST-main\test.py", line 40, in <module>
    evaluator = Evaluator()
  File "M:\OpenSource\REST-main\utils\rsmt_utils.py", line 35, in __init__
    eval_mod = ctypes.cdll.LoadLibrary(path)
  File "D:\Python\Python39\lib\ctypes\__init__.py", line 452, in LoadLibrary
    return self._dlltype(name)
  File "D:\Python\Python39\lib\ctypes\__init__.py", line 374, in __init__
    self._handle = _dlopen(self._name, mode)

So, I want to know more details about development, like computer OS, eval.c 's build tools ect.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !
