For ease of testing, I have created a build at http://ci.berboe.co.uk/job/MCServer-Clang/.

If it is needed, I can change the branch it builds for you 😄

Well I'm not touching CryptoPP's code. Those cryptographers sure do know their math, but their coding skills are, let's just say, less than stellar. Any crypto code is sooo hard to read and maintain :P

The latest svn works! I'm cautious to merge it in because I don't know if it's been modified or needs squeezing to fit inside MCServer, but it works anyway 😃

That's weird, I don't think there have been any changes to the CryptoPP code. Try making a diff.

bearbin avatar bearbin commented on May 4, 2024

There are a load of new files, so IDK what a diff would do.

Also, you may have to get it from teh sourceforge SVN.

Sorry, I meant the latest CryptoCPP source code svn, not our one.

Is the cryptocpp used my MCServer modified in any way, because It should be fairly easy to swap out for the newer version if it's not.

from cuberite.

madmaxoft avatar madmaxoft commented on May 4, 2024

I think it isn't, I only removed some files that weren't needed and were needlessly making it compile longer.

It should be possible to swap for a newer version, but needs to be verified across the base compilers before merging to master.

I'll do it in a new branch then.

Maybe they even fixed those false-positive memory leaks that are reported on each server run in the CryptoPP library :) That would be nice!
