dockerfiles's Issues

Rethinkdb clustering

I'm having issues connecting multiple rethinkdb instances together. Both instances seem to have the same "Machine ID". I think this has to do with running rethinkdb create. This was probably necessary before, but I believe that when that info doesn't exist, rethinkdb creates it.

RethinkDB :: Inaccessible database file

When running the container I am left with the following error message:

info: Running rethinkdb 1.9.0-0ubuntu1~precise (GCC 4.6.3)...
info: Running on Linux 3.8.0-30-generic x86_64
info: Loading data from directory /rethinkdb_data
Version: rethinkdb 1.9.0-0ubuntu1~precise (GCC 4.6.3)
error: Inaccessible database file: "/rethinkdb_data/metadata": No such file or directory
       Some possible reasons:
       - the database file couldn't be created or opened for reading and writing
       - the user which was used to start the database is not an owner of the file

I have no clue how to fix this. Removing the VOLUME command from the dockerfile fixes the error, but obviously makes persistance a little harder.
