When running the app the menu and the content is missing or not showing up at all.

Use electron-builder to package your app for macOS, Windows and Linux.

It will be pretty cool to talk about the start-up of an Electron app:

• witch event is trigged at witch time (sync or async)
• where to put app setups, global vars, etc. (in witch event or file in code)
• etc.

It will be great to talk about auto-update for macOS, Windows and Linux still this is an important feature all app should have before beta test or production ;)

Hi Christian! I was reading your electron tutorials from your web, and the one about localization caught my eye. I want to switch languages from the menu and I was thinking about adapting your tutorial into my electron app, but I'm not able to do it. Is there any way? I thought about maybe using handlebars template rendering... but I can't find a proper solution to achieve this.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, I am a little confused though. I made the installer and everything, but when I run it all it does is open my app for a few seconds and reopens.
I was looking to just get a way to make an installer (like .pkg does) and Sign the installer so I can submit to windows store. I just wanted the installer to install to program files and create a shortcut on the desktop, is this possible?

I got this error after run sudo npm run package-win
also I tried package-mac worked correct.

How to simply translate all the texts of the app (based on the OS locales ?).

That site has been gone for a couple of years according to archive.org.
It would be helpful here to list the various icon files that are needed for next steps.

In the electron packager tutorial, version-string setting is used.
That setting will be deleted in future versions and is replaced with win32metadata: https://github.com/electron-userland/electron-packager/blob/master/docs/api.md#win32metadata
