userscripts's Issues

Skip Members-only videos

Gotta start with the thanks, use this particularly when listening to large playlists and playing the ~700+ video, YT tends to not continue at that point. This was perfect.

Would it be possible to detect if it's stopped on a member video that you are not a member of that channel?

Some playlists have member videos scattered throughout and it gets stuck. Just want to get past it and on to the next.

Adblock Plus - Video skip after ad bypass

If this script is used in tandem with Adblock Plus, when an ad is blocked by the adblocker before a song in a playlist, that song would be skipped entirely.

I recommend anyone with both this script and Adblock Plus to get a different adblocker for YouTube, as that would solve this issue; of course still using Adblock Plus for other websites won't be problematic.

Script doesn't work

For some reason, after I updated it, the autoplay has stopped working for the playlists. I'm not sure where it went wrong but it was working fine until a few days ago.

Auto-check discretion warnings

Had this video in a playlist, when I tried to watch the video by clicking on the "I understand and wish to proceed," it moves to the next video in the playlist.

https://youtu.be/gbsqL-2NMEs

It should play the video instead of moving on to the next in the playlist. (couldn't repro)

Could the script automatically play the video, despite the warning? Or maybe make it an option somehow? I don't want playback to stop for anything, not even this.

Stopped autoplaying after many videos

Hey! So I found this script on reddit and every single comment on it was positive so i thought that it would help me out aswell but i didn't exactly so i tried it on different playlist and it worked but as i got closer to the end of the playlist it stopped wroking and It wasn't autoplaying. So i don't know what to do. Maybe I just messed up something but idk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ0Vu3LOYyA&list=PLaSOys9AMLlZ1fC-g3gg0wAORqxrwFDw2&index=402**** it sopped workin on this music idk what to do

Skips videos randomly

So, I've been using this for around a month now, and it keeps having an issue where it skips videos in playlists. It sometimes plays normally, and then skips certain videos entirely, just going on to the next one, and other times it skips every other video, especially so in short playlists. I saw a similar issue previously, but this is happening on the newest version as well.

Playlist lock - Always goes to next video when choosing any video

This stems from my testing in #3.

If you try to navigate to a different video within the playlist, it seems the script overrides the selection and causes the previous "next video" in the list to be opened instead.

Repro:

  1. Start playing a playlist (also refresh browser after starting)
  2. In the playlist panel, choose any video other than the next video (e.g., If started on video 1, choose video 3)
  3. Youtube navigates to the old "next video" instead (i.e., Navigates to video 2 in previous example)

Firefox - Random Video Skip

I wanted to firstly thank you for creating this script, I can't imagine using my large (almost 600 items) music playlist without it.

I noticed that before using the script, Youtube can automatically move to next song up to a certain point (I remember similar reports of around video number 400+) which is when I started to look for and found this script to solve that issue.

It works really well for those videos where it just pauses at the end without moving to next song.

However, when viewing the first few videos (up to around 400), the script tends to trigger after/at the same time as when Youtube was already moving to next song anyway, and this results in a video being skipped. Unfortunately, it seems inconsistent as I assume it depends on network and hardware as well.

I find that it is more reproducible when you start the playlist and then open a new tab (I'm using Firefox browser on Windows 10) but it can still occur while you are directly viewing the Youtube tab.

I've tried my own edits to the script, such as waiting for the "Replay" button before pressing the next button, which works exactly as this script does, but this skipping bug still exists.

I think the solution is to find out a specific tag when Youtube is going to automatically move on to next song, which doesn't appear when the playlist abruptly stops. My limited knowledge prevents me from approaching this problem and generating solutions for it.

Another idea I tried to implement was to track any changes to the Youtube video title, but I cannot make this work well enough to overcome the bug and keep the playlist movement at the same time.

Thank you for reading my bug report and hopefully we can fix this as a community. Please let me know if you need any further information.
