With most themes I have tried to get it up and running with the generic Hugo Basic Example (https://github.com/spf13/HugoBasicExample).

But some themes are "too custom", so that isn't possible.

So I added support for a theme having a self-contained exampleSite. In the Artist example above, see:

For landing page I have just disabled the demo for now, but I'm happy to turn it on if we can get it either up and running with the basic example, or probably better, add an exampleSite to this repo.

can you please integrate a blog and show the post teasers at the bottom ?

for my landing page I needed a "pricing" section, so I built it into the existing template and made it customizable with a data/pricing.json

Here is how it looks like at the moment:

You can easily add new features or more pricing columns. (The description field is not used at the moment).

It's also resizable and should work on mobile (columns will be collapsed and shown under each other.

Does it make sense to integrate it into the template?

Hi there,

I really like this theme, but also have many blog articles I'd be bringing over from my existing Ghost blog. When I put those in the "post" folder, it throws ALL the articles on the front page - making it a large page to download! Am I able to have a "Blog" link at the top of the landing page navigation menu where users could click that and then read my blog entries, or is this theme not really designed for that?

Hi all,

in Germany every website must have an "Impressum". Best direct translation might be "imprint" and some international websites use the term "Legal Notice". Anyway, it must be there and I thought we could make this part of the template and it could look like this:

Since it's optional, I'd just load a content/imprint/imprint.md file in the footer.html.
By default I set the exampleSite imprint to "draft: true" to not show it and explain it in the Readme.

Is this something we could merge to master?

First of all, thanks a lot for this theme! and please, apologize if this question doesn't belong here.

When each "post" has a few paragraphs, is it possible to get its image vertically centered when is placed at the side? Of course without breaking responsiveness.

What are the best practices in this case? Keep the text small for each post?

Apparently a scammer has registered the default base url genreated by hugo ("http://replace-this-with-your-hugo-site.com") and has some malware, ads, etc on it. See: gohugoio/hugoThemes#171.

Your theme doesn't use this base url but it still points to a website that is registered. To avoid such abuse in the future I would recommend to switch to a base url like "https://www.example.com/".
