Nope.

Why do you think so?

It crashed when I ran it

I then check doc, First argument need to be a file, (eval-after-load FILE FORM)

from company-inf-ruby.

What was the error, exactly?

You should read the full doscstring. Near the end, it contains:

Alternatively, FILE can be a feature (i.e. a symbol), in which case FORM
is evaluated at the end of any file that `provide's this feature.

Usually FILE is just a library name like "font-lock" or a feature name
like 'font-lock.

It's was about Symbol's value as variable is void but I don't remember the way I tried (scratch, eval, config and use), and cannot reproduce. And everything works fine with the symbol...

False alert. My bad. At least I learned about eval-after-load + symbol

No problem.

but I don't remember the way I tried

You probably forgot one of the single quotes.

Unrelated, but might be the time to ask.

I consider adding a el-get recipe since relying on that so far, but had some doubts about putting company-mode as a dependancy along with inf-ruby. What do you think about this?

For this package? company-inf-ruby should depend on company, of course.

As long as inf-ruby is a separate package, itself with no dependency on company, I don't see what could be a problem.
