Hello, I am trying to export a file from a remote server to my local machine using the following command:

library(ssh.utils)
cp.remote(remote.src = "[email protected]",
path.src = "/data/luc/files/file1.txt",
remote.dest = "",
path.dest = "/Users/luc/Dropbox/data/trees")

but I get the following error:

Error in cp.remote(remote.src = "[email protected]", path.src = "/data/luc/files/file1.txt", :
scp failed: running command 'scp [email protected]:/data/luc/files/file1.txt /Users/luc/Dropbox/data/trees 2>&1 ' had status 1

Do you have any idea about what I am doing wrong?

Would it make sense to allow the user to specify that the wait argument in system() should be set to FALSE?

I'm thinking this line: https://github.com/collectivemedia/ssh.utils/blob/master/R/run.R#L146

And see the answer to this question to avoid potential pitfalls.

Thoughts?
