jquery-ajax-upload's Introduction

Ajax Upload

Browser support IE10+ and all other browsers

Features

  • Drag and drop files
  • Prompt

How to use

// You can use same options as $.ajax();
// options.data can be a string or jQuery object that selects a input:file
// or an array containing key pair or name/value [{name, value}]
// or an object
// The value should be a File object if it is the file you want to upload
$.ajaxUpload(options);

// Same as above, with a difference, it takes all values in the form.
$(form).ajaxUpload(options);

// Same as $.ajaxUpload, with a difference, it will create a prompt and then send
$.ajaxUploadPrompt(options);

// Same as above, with a difference, it binds a click event.
$(button).ajaxUploadPrompt(options);

// Make a dropzone for uploading files
$(element).ajaxUploadDrop(options);

// Same parameters as $.post();
$.ajaxUploadPost(url, [ data ], [ success(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) ], [ dataType ]);

jquery-ajax-upload's Issues

Click function should be bound using on()

On line 297, the click function should be bound using on() - I've added this hack to my file, although it's probably not the best solution.

var id = $(this).attr('id');
$(document).off().on('click', '#' + id, function () {
    $.ajaxUploadPrompt( origSettings );
});

Parameters

Is there any way I can send custom parameters? as my server code needs anti forgery validation tokens to be sent with the uploaded data

Edit: Never-mind figured it out ๐Ÿ‘ :), keep up the good work with the up-loader, it is the best one I can find that works as it should.

Add image size

d.change(function() {
if (!this.files.length) {
return false;
}

        if (!s.data) {
            s.data = {};
        }

        s.files = this.files;
        s.data = $.ajaxUploadExtractData(s.data, $.ajaxUploadSerializeFiles(this));

//// Is just for me. If more time, cat multiple support
$(document.createElement('img')).attr('src', window.URL.createObjectURL(this.files[0]))
.load( function(){
s.files[0].width = this.width;
s.files[0].height = this.height;
//console.log(this.width,this.height);
$.ajaxUpload(s).promise(def);
});

    });

Can't change data on beforeSend

Can't append data on beforeSend:

$('#element').ajaxUploadPrompt({
url: 'upload.ashx',
beforeSend: function (xhr, opts) {
opts.data += { newOp: "value" };
},
data:{op1:'op1'},
(...)

Is there anyway to do this?

Parallel support

I'd like to support parallel uploads. Ex:

User select one or more files and before it finishes, the user can start uploading another files

save to db

hello?

what would be the best way to add option to save to database?

bug on line #148

should be : $.ajaxUpload(options);
but: $.ajaxUpload(origSettings);

Error dont stop upload

var nesseserySettings = {
processData : false,
type: 'POST',
beforeSend : function(xhr, s) {
s.xhr = function () {
var xhr = new window.XMLHttpRequest();
xhr.upload.onprogress = s.onprogress.bind(this);
xhr.upload.onabort = s.onabort.bind(this);
xhr.upload.onerror = s.onerror.bind(this);
xhr.upload.onload = s.onload.bind(this);
return xhr;
};
s.data = fd;
if (origSettings.beforeSend) {
return origSettings.beforeSend.call(this, xhr, s); ///// <<<<< i fix there
}
}
};
