CEMv1.3 support is needed for loading 11 of the Empire Earth models. Also, CEMv5 support would provide utility for DotMW modders.

Evidence exists that the CEM format has relations to the 3ds format. Therefore, a converter should be possible. This may also provide a means for animation support (#3).

It appears that models when viewed in Empire Earth show the back, but not the front sides. This may be caused by a mismatch between CW / CCW vertex orderings.

This is needed for player coloring.

The OBJ intermediate format does not have animation support. Therefore, there needs to be a format that supports animations to export to the CEM format.

Tag points are needed for particle effects, among other things. They are needed for fully functional dynamic models.

cemconv should properly generate LODs. While not necessary, this makes the exporter more consistent with standard models.
