Two-photon polymerization (TPP) is the most accurate 3d printing process used to create many complex structures for nanoscale applications. Prior to this, the multi-scale precision manufacturing laboratory of the Chinese university of Hong Kong developed a laser nanometer manufacturing process based on TPP and ultra-fast random access digital micromirror device (DMD) scanner. Using binary holography, the DMD scanner can simultaneously generate and individually control one to dozens of laser points for parallel nanoscale manufacturing at 22.7kHz. The nanofabrication system can be used for large-scale nanoscale prototype design and the creation of complex structures, such as suspended structures, which cannot be easily manufactured by conventional raster scanning systems. Based on the design experience of the first generation system in the summer research experience, I cooperate with Tsinghua classmates, designed the compatible galvanometer scanning and DMD scanning two modes of the second generation of 3d printers, has independently developed the model of cutting layer, contour scanning, automatic pump shell, grid, filling features such as a complete software system, can express 3 d model based on STL file, automatic slicing, trajectory planning, mining point and all hardware signal generated by the process. In order to test the working ability of the system, we built a dual galvanometer scanning and real-time monitoring system using ordinary laser pointer light source to simulate the 3D printing process and observe the moving track and speed of the light spot.
