E2E tests for PostgreSQL Trunk Container Images

This repository contains a Continuous Delivery workflow which runs daily and that:

Builds the latest snapshot image of the main trunk of the PostgreSQL server
Runs the CloudNativePG E2E test suite using the latest main of the operator

CVE-2024-21626 getting identified due to the old version of gosu being used

Hi Team,

Our security scanners are alerting for CVE-2024-21626 in the gosu binary used by these images. Any plan to bump the gosu version to 1.17 that replaced runc with different library?

Add an option to the workflow to test a branch from the cloudnative-pg

Now we only use the main branch from cloudnative-pg project to test the operator against the development version, we should add a new option to the workflow to add an optional branch and test that.
