Hm, could you give an example, just to make sure we don't already support it? For example, if the processes are the same name (e.g. chrome
) you can use Tab
to group them together and kill them all at once.

Oops, I see that's indeed there. I figured that tab would do so but the processes got grouped into one entry, it wasn't immediately obvious what happened there. I was anticipating they all get highlighted.
My bad, cognitive bias.

Actually, after more use, I realized its not really a multi-select, its a grouping feature to be precise, and once you group one group, you can't select/group any further, it rather undoes the previous grouping.
Can we may be have shift+tab to do classic multi-select with highlighting? or the otherway around, where the existing feature grouping becomes shift+tab and tab becomes what people would count as multi-select, e.g. as in fzf
utility.
Also, a tiny little thing, after one does a search with /
, you would think that enter
would take you back to the process menu to do manual selection, but it does nothing. You will need to ctrl+upArrow
to switch back to process list.
A behaviour that matches /
in vim would make it more convenient.
Thanks.
