I know you've got MIT license buried mentioned @ the bottom of https://github.com/citp/ad-blocking/blob/master/perceptual-adblocker/README.md, but following https://help.github.com/articles/adding-a-license-to-a-repository/ would make it more clear & available for implementation.

I have version 1.0.2 installed in Chrome 74.0.3729.169 on Windows 10. It is causing a strange effect on YouTube videos embedded on channel9.msdn.com. It clearly gets a false positive but rather than overlaying the usual overlay, it overlays with a solid black rectangle.

Running chrome using hangouts as part of the gmail site.
When I try to start a conversation the chat popup shows for a second then disappears.
I turned off perceptual add blocker and behavior stops.

I've been using the addin for Google Chrome since I saw the article about it; and it works great on most sites that otherwise whine about adblock etc.

The problem is it is also blocking sites such as:

https://project.configura.com/

which I need for work.

On any other site I can click the cross should I want to disable it but at the above page (I think due to an iFrame or something) I get this:

where you can clearly see the "Ad choices Identified" text, but no way to click the cross.

A white list would prevent the need to turn it off, or gasp use another browser...

I've landed on the project page through the paper you published. It'd be great if you add the links to the website and the paper in the link, in case if someone shares the project link.

Ads on Facebook are not recognized when given in an non-english language.

Resulted in consistently above 80% CPU usage and web browser slowed down

those are especially problematic, because even humans have issues identifying them.

When you go to edit content on squarespace I get a false positive, but only when you are editing content. Everything else in the backend works fine.

I get a false positive on following iframe https://www.compsy.be/psycholoog/embed/12322
The iframe is used as a "badge" by psycologists to show that they have the required diplomas and paperwork

The iframe is added in the footer of leysens.be/psycholoog (DEV version)

Would be nice if I could specify a list of domains for the perceptual ad-blocker to ignore.

TD Canada Trust (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TD_Canada_Trust) is a major bank in Canada at the following URL https://www.tdcanadatrust.com/products-services/banking/index-banking.jsp

It offers an online portal for banking called TD EasyWeb (login: https://easyweb.td.com/waw/idp/login.htm?execution=e1s1)

I installed the Chrome extension and it marked the TD EasyWeb Site as an AdChoices AD. I have attached a screenshot with all PII removed (basically account numbers and amounts and my name)

I can't provide screenshots of this because the pages involved contain propritary information.

I've seen sections of the Statseeker NMS dashboard masked as "Adchoice Identified" and entire pages of search results from the Nagios Network Monitor's Thruk interface identified the same way.

The ad blocker blocks anything with flash content. It blocks an ebook( textbook on McGraw Hill's site) as ADCHOICES IDENTIFIED. The same happens on news videos on newspaper websites. The ad blocker identified parts of my Fidelity account as ADCHOICES IDENTIFIED.

It appears that any content using Flash is automatically labeled as ADCHOICES IDENTIFIED.

Does not correctly identify ads on 18+ sites like p***hub.com or youp***.com, besides Remove Ads and Ads By ... designations. The HTML even has ad- classes.

chrome://extensions says I'm using Perceptual Ad Highlighter 1.0.2.

The tweet does have the hashtag #adra but others with that hashtag aren't highlighted.

All ads are showing up on this site.
