Similar to spotify. dragging songs to a playlist on the left would be super useful

Ability to go backwards and forwards through page history.

for example, if I want to play the song Bad Girls in my Shazam playlist, I have to go to the song Eternal Youth so I can play Bad Girls. This is quite confusing. Also, there is the problem when I have random mode on and want to listen to a specific song, I usually go to the song and click on it. But now it plays me a completely different song. My understanding of the mode is that when I skip the song I get a random song, but when I click on a specific one I also want it to play. This only happens when I move the app from my big screen to the small one.

Normally we can see 4 images in a collage but its only the first song's image now....

where did the releases go? the aur doesnt work, and the github releases are empty. its obvious there are releases, there are linux peoples writing issues about the program. are they using windows? am i insane?

Pretty simple issue probably - I'm currently making a Python script which hooks into Cider's mpris instance and scrobbles to last.fm, but while making this I found that Cider's mpris instance reports itself as a generic chromium instance so dbus-python can't hook itself to it due to having a . in the name.

get_dbus.sh is just a simple echo statement which is handy for debugging this kinda thing:

I have songs in my library that I uploaded myself and songs from Apple Music. When I play my own song, skipping back usually works very well. Only with the song BassMarck there are problems, because when I play this song and then want to return to a previous song, I use the buttons for it. The previous song is only displayed briefly and then another song is played randomly. This problem also exists when I play a song from Apple Music and the previous one is a song of its own, also here the same happens and mostly the next song is played, in this case, so when I play Cry out for Hero and want to listen to the previous song, instead of Be my lover, Die by the Blade is played.

If the artist or title is too long, I wish it would move from right to left so you can read everything well.

I see, thanks for clarifying. I posted on the Last.fm subreddit today about the internal scrobbling feature of Apple Music Electron, that's why I wanted to be sure:

It would be great if your app could also play local music files and scrobble them, because Last.fm users often report problems when using iTunes on Windows or macOS.

Ability to subscribe to artist to get latest release on startup

• Get the subscribed artists view info
• Compare the views.latest-release to the last known latest release stored locally
• Show new releases in a tab

Store the musickit settings (volume mainly, but additional items like bitrate could be added) for the next app startup

Watch for changes to the mk object maybe using proxy

Describe the bug
Playlist folders appear as a singular folder in the sidebar, and when clicked on just simply take you to a blank playlist page. However, they don't appear on 'Add to Playlist', neither the playlist folder nor the playlists contained within it.

Expected behavior
A dropdown for playlists in the sidebar for folders and for the playlists to appear in 'Add to playlist' dialogues.

Closing the Cider window actually closes the whole thing, even though minimize to tray is selected.

It Just Shows A Pink Circle, No Ellipsis in it.

Adding a way to export song and artist information to a text file with an option window to adjust what can be displayed (for example $s for Song name and $a for Artist)

Alternatively, a way to integrate with another project like Snip or Tuna

• Needs search to include artists and albums related to search term
• Cache the listings and run a function to get relevant library listings in the background and display the last cached listings until it's done

When I maximize Cider on my main monitor, the window seems to be too big, because on my second monitor, I can just see the window.

The app on launching after successful installation says 'Cider is not responding. Reload the app?'

Adding an entire album to a playlist wont actually do anything after selecting the playlist.

It would be nice if next to the currently playing song is an icon indicating that this song is playing. Especially with large playlists, you look stupid until you find the song that is currently playing, so a conspicuous icon like Spotify would help.

Describe the bug
Essentially the title. If the app is in the foreground, stations play absolutely fine and without any issues. When in the background, whenever the current track stops the station will stop playing completely. If you press play again, it starts again from the last track playing before it stopped, however shows the next up track in the station. Playlists are fine and don't exhibit this behaviour, it only happens with the auto-generated stations.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Play station for artist/song/etc
2. Wait til end of track and don't have app in focus
3. See error.

Expected behavior
For the app to play the next track regardless of being in the foreground or background.

The last.fm scrobbler on this app is great. I love the “Remove featured artists from song title” (which I think should be labeled “Remove featured artists from artist field) feature. Apple Music scrobbles are too cluttered by default and this feature helps a bunch.

Though, I’d like to be able to toggle between that feature and another one which would allow you to scrobble based on the song’s album artist. Other scrobblers already allow this (see Marvis Pro Last.fmᐩ) and scrobbles usually come off better. Specially when it comes to duet artists like Wisin & Yandel or single artists with ampersands in their names like Brown & Gammon. The current implementation would result in mistakenly scrobbling Wisin and Brown instead.

Can most likely be implemented by reusing the album/playlist view with less information

Functions to link to artists and albums from tracks.
Sometimes provided in the mediaitems, but if they are not query a search to find the closest result and display.

If you have never used Apple Music before you probably have the Content Restriction turned ON.
This doesn't allow you to play songs that are tagged as explicit.

Cider doesn't know about this and just wont play songs.
