The task was added to inbox indeed but didn't got notification to confirm it.

I've turned on the option.

I was using latest Chrome

Chrome is up to date
Version 110.0.5481.100 (Official Build) (arm64)

and was sending a youtube link to TickTick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV2crCB-uw4
Also reproduced on other webpages

I tested it on several browsers, including Chromium, Vivaldi and Brave, all on Windows 10.
Even after getting past the login screen, the extension doesn't seem to clip anything - no matter if it's just the selected text or whole page, chosen from the extension icon menu, or from the context menu after selecting text.
Clicking the extension button returns me to the login screen.

I think Microsoft Edge is compatible with Chrom, but it didn't work.
Can you fix it so that it works?

Can you add an option to copy page content as a markdown into the task description? This chrome extension can copy site content as markdown. Maybe it can be useful

The chrome extension stopped popping up notifications when the button is clicked, although websites do register and appear in ticktick. I have made sure notifications is turned on for both my chrome browser and computer and it appears to be the extension's issue. I have also tried reinstalling the extension and turning on and off the option for notifications in settings but it does not seem to work. Using windows 11.

Also using latest version of chrome:
Version 119.0.6045.124
